Mineral Body Wrap - Mummy Style

For those who are new to body wraps, it's a straightforward, as well as an indulgent treatment. Typically, the person receiving the body wrap has her torso, legs, arms, and neck wrapped with special cloths which have been soaked in a special mixture of ingredients. In preparation for the treatment, the cloths are wrapped snugly around the body, creating a kind of thermal blanket that promotes sweating and aids in the emptying of unnecessary interstitial fluid. A warm sensation may be felt as the body begins to sweat out excess fluids and toxins.

Oils, sea salts, and other mineral essential, natural ingredients are used during the wrap to provide the body with an overall exfoliating scrub. These ingredients help to improve the texture and appearance of the skin, while also cleansing the body through the process of detoxification. Results sometimes may be realized immediately. Toxins and interstitial fluids eventually re-accumulate, so regular body wraps may provide better long-term benefits.

Infrared Body Wrap

An Infrared Body Wrap is a personal sauna device – FIR blanket that can soothe and relax, help sweat away inches fast. Ideal for the abdomen, waist, hips, back, buns and thighs. Whether we call it Far Infrared (FIR) or simply Infrared Heat, this wrap deploys the space-age technology that produces gently penetrating warmth in its purest form (invisible, and controlled by micro-electronic circuitry).
When you feel heat from the sun, it is in fact Far Infrared waves. Our Infrared blanket produces two or three times more sweat. While the water lost can be regained by drinking, the calories cannot. Experts believe that as far infrared energy effectively expels toxins, it eliminates with it the fat that our bodies use to dilute toxins. Parafango

This miracle treatment is applied to thighs, buttocks, hips, and abdomen to draw toxins from fat cells and stimulate fluid elimination. After resting 30 minutes swaddled in a heated blanket, the wrap is peeled back to reveal a slimmer you.

  The following is a list of conditions that might require special attention before receiving a Body Wrap treatment:

  • Skin disorder, inflammation, eruption or infection
  • Acute inflammation, infections
  • Autoimmune or infectious progressive illness
  • Unexplained calf pain, deep  vein thrombosis, phlebitis
  • Pregnancy
  • Recent surgery and scars
  • Injections
  • Varicose veins

    The following conditions should be considered prior to administering spa body treatments including wraps, scrubs and polishes:

    Allergies – Clients with allergies to certain herbs, wheat, gluten or dairy should avoid treatments with these ingredients because they are absorbed through the skin.

    Cancer – Cancer patients need to consult with their doctor, especially if they are taking certain medications or chemotherapy and are often advised to avoid body treatments.

    Circulatory Disorders/Heart Disease – Clients with circulatory problems or heart difficulties should consult with their physicians prior to having body treatments performed since they boost circulation.

    Diabetes – Some clients with diabetes can derive benefits from body treatments while others need to avoid body treatments including diabetics who are prone to sores and diabetes with the tendency to develop numbness in their extremities.

    Edema – Clients with edema should obtain a medical release from their attending physician before body treatments but many can benefit from this therapeutic service.

    Fever – Body treatments should not be administered to clients with a fever.

    Herpes – Clients with herpes should avoid body wraps if the outbreak is active.

    Hypertension/Central Nervous System Disorders – Clients should consult with their physicians prior to body treatments and mud treatments are usually avoided.

    Inflammation/Infection – Clients should wait for inflammation to be reduced or infection to heal prior to body treatments.

    Kidney Disorders – Clients with kidney disorders should obtain a medical release from their attending physician prior to having body treatments.

    Lactating Women – Nursing women should obtain a medical release prior to body treatments to ensure they are in proper physical shape to endure all elements of the treatment.

    Liver Disorders – Clients with liver disorders should obtain a medical release from their attending physician prior to body treatments.

    Lupus – Clients should consult with their physicians because in most cases lupus patients are contraindicated from body treatments to avoid overtaxing their immune system.

    Pregnancy – Most pregnant women can derive multiple benefits from body treatments but should have a medical release from their attending physician to ensure they are in physical shape to endure all elements of the treatment.

    Skin Abrasion and Rashes – If the technicians is unsure of the rash or condition a clients has, they should not have body wraps.

    Urinary Tract Infection – Often patients are contraindicated from body wraps during the acute stages of a urinary tract infection.

    Wounds/Open – Clients with open wounds should not receive body treatments.
